We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
(9) Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
2Co 4:16
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

Praise the Lord!!! These scriptures comfort me in these hard times. We are Christians, saved by grace!!! We over come!
God help us to be a beacon of light in the dark murky sea of a lost and dieing world.

I used II Cor. $ when I preached at a rest home service earlier today.  (It's after midnight already, so I guess I mean yesterday.)
When I was trying to decide what passage to use, I took a look at the threads in the It's the Bible section, and these verses struck me as ones that would be a particular blessing to folks who are getting on in years. Even though the outward man perishes, the inward man is renewed day by day.
