Angelgirl7 ...

I believe all children will also be cought up in the rapture, "I think" it says somewhere in the Bible that a child is saved till he/she reaches the age of 13, by then they should know and trust in JESUS and make that commitment, now as I said -- "I think" this it what it teaches. emoticon

The age of accountability is a belief that God saves all those who die before reaching the ability to make a decision for or against Christ. Thirteen is the most common number given for the age of accountability, based on the Jewish custom that a child becomes an adult at the age of 13. However, the Bible gives no direct support to the age of 13 always being the age of accountability. It likely varies from child to child. A child has passed the age of accountability once he or she is capable of making a faith decision for or against Christ.

I've always thought of the age of accountability as being younger than 13, but you're right that the Bible does not specify.

Rather than an "age of accountability", I think it is more accurate to call it a "level of accountability" and I agree that it will vary from child to child.

First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say,

man .. them suckers are here .. but the harvest is plenty .. spread God's word to the world .. dadman

I most certainly agree that scoffers are in the world, but I also have to admit to a bit of discomfort when fellow Christians use words like "suckers" to refer to unbelievers. When that happens, it's like WE are scoffing THEM, and it is unlikely that a person will listen to God's Word from someone they think is just scoffing at them. Wouldn't you agree?

Ah, sarcasm can be fun, but it's a bit hard to read without adding a smiley-face or two. I usually use this one for sarcasm - emoticon

This forum actually has some pretty fun smiley faces.
