Men's Retreat
I'm attending a men's retreat this weekend. Actually, they call it a Men's Advance, since they don't want to be retreating in any way, but I think "retreat" is a perfectly legitimate word to use, since we are retreating from the presssures of everyday life to focus on God's Word and on fellowship with other believers.
I'm looking forward to getting to know some of the men that I see at church every Sunday but I don't often get a chance to have conversations with them.

Re: Men's Retreat
We have an annual retreat in the
Fall every year, usually in late Oct. early Nov. We rent a cabin on top of a mountain that our Assoc. owns and rents out. Always a great weekend, we build a fire outside and sit around and like you said , get acquainted with fellow Christians, sometimes we have a
Bible study , others we have christian speakers on video , live music. Hope you'all have a great time.

Re: Men's Retreat
The retreat was great. I even gave the website for this forum to one of the men. It's great to have you stop by again, garycq.

Re: Men's Retreat
This is the weekend for the annual retreat, but I decided not to attend this year. I wasn't sure how the bunkbeds with the thin mattresses would affect my healing back. Hopefully I can make it next year.
