Bookworm88 ...
I'm up for starting a new thread about a new book. How about you, BA? I have an idea for the book and maybe Algee3 will join us. What's one more book when you already have three you are working on? The book is Letters from a Skeptic by Greg Boyd. Greg Boyd is a Bible college professor who asked his dad, who was a skeptic, to send him all his difficult questions about Christianity. There are 30 sections, each with a letter from dad and the son's response. Some of the questions are:
- Why is the world so full of suffering?
- Does God know the future?
- How can you believe that a man rose from the dead?
- Why do you think the Bible is inspired?
- Do all non-Christians go to hell?
- How can I be holy and sinful at the same time?
This book would definitely provide us with some rabbit trails to travel down, especially since I do not always agree with Boyd's response, particularly with his response to whether God knows the future.

Sounds like it might be fun. Do you own the book? How many pages? Sure. Why not. emoticon

I think I'll have to pass for now, but the book does sound interesting. I'll have to check it out when I have more time.
I'll just try to keep up with the book study thread.

You won't have to read the book to jump in on any of the discussion. Whether we are discussing human free will or the existence of hell, we would love to hear your understanding of the issues. emoticon
